Offers Two Premiers

On Thursday night, June 19th, the Watkins College of Art and Design Theater, 2298 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard (Metro Center) will be the hosting venue for the Nashville premiers of two original films produced by Middle Tennessee’s Extra/Ordinary Film Project during their one hundred twenty-four-day tour of the United States, taking them to Arizona and California, shooting a pair of new movies. The Extra/Ordinary Film Project is really a family affair with the father, Jonathan Richard Cring, an award-winning screenwriter; son, Jon Russell Cring, director; Tracy Nicole Cring, daughter-in-law and cinematographer; Jerrod Cring, another son and recording engineer and the youngest of the Cring boys, Jasson, a budding young actor.

Melvyn’s Clock is the story of a retired gentleman who makes a daily round about his town, only to discover on one particular jaunt that danger awaits around every corner.

Has Been is a farce and comedy about a beleaguered journalist who is hired to write tell-all books about five former celebrities in a Montana retreat, revealing that the wilderness has many more surprises than any tale to be told.

The movies will be shown at 6:00 P.M for Has Been, followed immediately by the premier of Melvyn’s Clock at 8:00 P.M.  Tickets are $5 for one movie, $7 for both movies or $12 for a couple to attend both features.   Has Been is rated PG and Melvyn’s Clock is rated PG-13.
